Access Description: Follow highway 101 west from Timmins fro approximatley 50 km. Turn at the road to the local garbage disposal site and keep to your left past the dump. An old road exists here that is passable by foot or by ATV. This road will take you towards the west shore of Akweskwa Lake.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The area is underlain by highly altered felsic pyroclasic rocks and ultramafic sill-like bodies. Several small felsic porphyry stocks, sills and dikes invade the volcanic sequences.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is hosted by a carbonatized serpentinite body, in close proximity to a NNE trending diabase dike.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The mineralization consists of disseminated microcrystalline pyrrhotite. A grab sample taken from the outcrop by the OGS in 1972 returned a value of 0.20% Ni.
