Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The site is accessible by driving west from Timmins along highway 101W for 15 km and then drilving north along a gravel road to the hydro line. An old road follows the hydro line to the lake.



Exploration History

1921: T. Wright - staking, trenching, stripping. 1939-40: Continental Kirkland, Wright-Ventures Group - trenching, ground geophysics, mapping, 9 ddh (8009 ft). 1987-89: Chevron Mineral Ltd. - property optioned, airborne geophysics, stripping, mapping, 1 ddh (169 m). 1993-2003: R. Poirier - ground geophysics, trenching, sampling.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence consists of three quartz veins in chloritized shear zones in quartz-feldspar porphyry. The veins are described as lenticular bodies up to 2 ft in width.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The highest assay obtained from drilling was 0.26 oz/t Au over 2.0 ft. in drill hole 3 A grab sample collected in 1933 returned an assays up to $74.00 Au from the quartz vein. The best results obtained from the 1993 sampling returned 0.076 oz/t Au from a quartz vein.
