Access Description: The site is accessible via the Star Lake Road from Highway 101 west. The float is located on the southwest side of a beaver pond near the fork in the Star Lake Road.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The float is rusty-brown in colour and was partially buried in a clay rich ablation till which overlies sandy gravel of a regional esker complex. The float is a medium grained gabbro and diorite.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - A polished section of the rock contained more than 50% pyrrhotite and 2-3% chalcopyrite. The combined nickel and copper content is reported to be about 3%.
