Lithology Comments

Jan 14, 2015 (A Wilson) - Gold mineralization occurs conformably within a sequence of Deloro Assemblage tuffs, tuff breccias and agglomerates sandwiched between 15 to 30 m thick units of fine-grained ultramafic flows. Gold mineralization occurs as a series of high-grade shoots within a zone up to 15 m thick and over a strike length of 470 m and to a depth of 200 m. The mineralized zone consists of pale green, quartz-chlorite-ankerite-sericite schist that is an altered felsic tuff with volcanic fragments. Two stages of quartz veins are found within the zone.

In 1986, Wabigoon Resources reported that the primary gold zone had been intersected in 7 dril holes at a depth of 150 m over a length of 285 m with an average cut gold grade of 10.3 g/t Au.
