Lithology Comments

Dec 12, 2013 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a zone containing quartz-carbonate stringers in serpentinite. The serpentinite is described as being schistose towards the bottom of the drill holes. The west portion of the property is transected by the burrows-Benedict Fault and the rocks west of the fault consist of massive andesite with interflow metasediments. The sedimentary horizon contains talcose serpentinite. The eastern portion of the property is cross cut by an ENE trending peridotite sill. The peridotite terminates to the west against the Burrows-Benedict Fault. The nickel ore is hosted within the serpentine. The serpentine parallels a narrow band of magnetic iron formation which lies approximately 90 m to the north. The main iron formation does not outcrop but the overburden is relatively thin. Diamond drilling indicated a 915 m long body dipping about 60º N with an average width of 18 m.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 12, 2013 (A Wilson) - Surface sampling from the vein by Augarita Mines Ltd. Returned values ranging from $3.00 Au to $26.00 over unknown widths. Au. Two drill holes 150 ft apart near the Preston East Dome boundary returned assays of 0.15 oz/t Au over 30 ft and 0.25 oz/t over 30 ft. An assay from New Augarita Porcupine DDH 4-S-2 returned $9.10 Au over 3.5 feet from mafic metavolcanics. Diamond drilling from the 1980 campaign returned an average assay value of 0.163 oz/t Au across 63.2 ft. Assays from the 1981 surface diamond drilling returned values of nil to 0.030 oz/t Au over 5 ft. The best assay was from DDH 81-1 assayed 0.03 oz/t Au. A low-grade nickel deposit was discovered at the site in 1968. The deposit extends 3.2 – 4.8 km along strike and is 122 m wide.
