Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - The northeast corner of Deloro township, south of the Destor Porcupine Fault, is underlain by mafic to intermediate and felsic to intermediate calc-alkalic flows and pyroclastics of the Deloro Group. Iron formation is commonly found through the flows and a thick band separates the mafic to intermediate and felsic to intermediate flows. Porcupine sediments are found north of the Deloro Group followed by the komatiitic ultramafic volcanics of the Tisdale group. Locally quartz feldspar porphyries intrude the sequence. Diabase dikes of the Matachewan and Abitibi dike swarms are present.
Rock Type | Rank | Composition | Texture | Relationship | Vein | 1 | Quartz | Contains |
---|---|---|---|---|
Intermediate lava flow-unsubdivided | 2 | Andesite | Spherulitic | Host |
Intermediate pillowed flow | 3 | Andesite | Pillowed | Near |
Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - The host rock is a massive andesite. The other nearby Diepdaume drillholes intersected pillowed andesitic volcanics. Inco drilling to the west intersected felsic and intermediate volcanics and a 2ft quartz porphyry. Bedrock was not observed on this claim during geological mapping due to cover by swamp and clay overburden.

Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - DH 84DE-4 had the following anomalous gold values: 123.0-123.6ft - 0.020opt, 124.7-125.2ft - 0.016opt. Both values occur in 6-inch white quartz veins with minor chlorite in fractures. The host rock is andesite. No other anomalous values have been recorded.
