Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The property is accessible via the Langmuir/Redstone Road, which extends southward from Tisdale Street in South Porcupine. Drive southeast for approximately 10 km to a private road located at the bridge crossing to the Redstone River. A 3 km long ATV trail north from this private road is used to access the property.



Exploration History

1997-99: J. Croxall and E.Vuksanovich - prospecting, stripping. 1999 - 2000: Leo Alarie and Sons and Nortem Mining and Exploration Inc. - property optioned, mapping, ground geophysics, bulk sampling (160 tonnes tested by Falconbridge), sampling, stripping, trenching, 14 ddh (320 m).

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The iron formation consists of alternating layers of magnetite and chert. The magnetite lays are 0.01 to 8 cm in thickness, averaging 0.1 to 0.2 cm. The layers const of fine-grained granular magnetite and minor chert. Chert layers are light grey to white, weathering fresh and vary from a few millimeters fo 30 cm or more in thickess.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected in 1998 returned SiO values ranging from 99.29 - 99.98%. Grab samples collected by Croxall and Vuksanovich in 1999 returned free silica contents ranging from 94.3% to 99.9% and averagin 98.37%. A 160 tonne sample processed by Falconbridge was considered to have a high silica grade and good friability and natural particle size.
