Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - Little is known about the geology of the Dynamite zone. According to a 1945 geological plan by the Dynamite zone consists of 2 parallel N-trending shear zones filled with quartz stringers and veins contained within north-striking mafic metavolcanic rocks. The Zone is cut off to the north by a NE trending diabase dike and is interupted by east-trending zones of talc-chlorite-carbonate rock. The zone has been tested by a minimum of 17 diamond drill holes.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - This occurrence is reported to contain visible gold. (T-35). The Mineral Resource Branch File, Delcore Porcupine (Jones-Porter) as reported in MRC 13 indicated the following mineralization present at the Dynamite Zone 0.18 ounce per ton gold over a width of 7.5 ft and a length of 450 ft. and 0.26 ounce per ton gold over a width of 10 ft. and a lenght of 300 ft. MRC 13 also notes that the 1944-45 drilling by Delcore Porcupine did not confirm this. A 194? Geological Plan of Acordia Porcupine Gold Mines Ltd. indicates that check assays attributed to Hollinger for Hole C-4 returned values of $6.30 over 5 ft. and $14.35 over 6 ft. in an agglomerate.
