Lithology Comments

May 31, 2007 (D Draper) - Drilling revealed the following rock types: locally amygdaloidal, pillowed to massive, mafic to intermediate metavolcanic flows; locally auriferous banded iron formation rarely associated with breccia; and a steeply dipping diabase dike occurs in all holes except 88-10. The rocks appear to be dipping approximately 45 degrees east to southeast. (T-3135 / 63.5445)

May 31, 2007 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of intermediate and mafic metavolcanic rocks interbedded with narrow bands of iron formation. Elevated gold values were recovered from iron formation on surface and at depth.

Mineralization Comments

May 31, 2007 (D Draper) - Golden Pheasant: A previously trenched surface exposure of the IF was sampled, returning several occurrence-level assays of Au up to 2400ppb. A chip sample of a quartz vein taken in the furthest east trench assayed 8910ppb. Four diamond drill holes (88-4, 88-5, 88-6 and 88-10) were drilled to the east of the trench site to test the iron formation. All four holes cut at least two units of iron formation. Holes 88-5 and 88-10 share a collar location; hole 88-4 was drilled approx.100m SW of these. The highest assay result in hole 88-4 was from the lower iron formation unit returning 620 to 690 ppb Au over 1.1 m. The highest assay result in hole 88-5 was from the first iron formation and it gave a weighted average of 0.185 oz Au/ton over 0.9 m (highest assay 12070ppb over 0.2m). The second iron formation unit was also anomalous in gold with 850 ppb Au over 0.7 m from part of the unit. Hole 88-6 returned only low values. The highest gold value from hole 88-10 was from the first unit intersected, a pyrite-bearing bleached zone with quartz and tourmaline veins in pillowed, amygdaloidal metavolcanic rocks which gave 1340 to 1430 ppb Au over 1.0m. Out of three iron formation units found in hole 88-10, the best assay was up to 680 ppb Au over 0.84m of the third unit. (T-3135 / 63.5445) MK Gold Prospect: Of the 5 grab samples taken from the trenches in 1992, 4 returned assays from 0.035 to 0.338 opt Au. Drillhole LF-92-1, located approx. 50m NE of the trench site, was collared in iron formation that returned an assay of 0.032 oz/tonne Au over 2 feet. Hole LF-92-2 was co-located with LF-92-1; while no significant assays were returned, a fleck of visible gold was noted in the iron formation at the top of this hole. (T-2974) Eclipse Mining Corp.: Six samples were taken at the main trench. Four returned assays over 1570ppb Au, with the highest being 12070ppb Au (0.371opt) in sample 68182. Six samples taken from 2 smaller trenches to the east returned values ranging from 545ppb to 2194ppb Au. (T-3887)

May 31, 2007 (A Wilson) - A grab sample from a quartz vein returned $2.60 Au. The best assay from the Golden Pheasant drilling returned a weighted assay of 0.185 oz/t Au over 0.9 m in iron formation. Surface grab samples collected in 1997 from the iron fromation returned values ranging from 0.001 oz/t au to 0.351 oz/t Au.
