Lithology Comments

Mar 10, 2014 (A Wilson) - Quartz veins were hosted within pillowed and altered mafic metavolcanic rocks. Development and mining was carried out on the Davidson and Godfrey veins in which ore shoots were located. The veins trended NE-SW. Production occurred from the North Thompson workings (veins No. 1 and 5) commencing in 1916. The quartz lenses were typically 200-250 ft long and 15-20 ft wide, with an average grade of $15 to $20 per ton.
