Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: The site is accessible via Pine Street south to the De Santis Mine road and then via a series of bush roads heading south along the north side of the Mountjoy River.

Exploration History

1937: Hollinger Gold Mines Ltd. - sampling, property visit. 1937-1941: Thomas Ogden Gold Mines -trenching, mapping, 9 ddh. 1980: Amax Minerals Exploration - airborne geophysics. 1997-2001: Echo Bay Mines Ltd. and Berland Resources Limited - ground geophysics, 8 ddh (172 m), airborne geophysics. Porcupine Joint Venture acquired property and conducted ground geophysical surveys and drilled 3,176m in 13 holes. 2009-2016: Metals Creek Resources conducted 78.85 line km of line-cutting for ground geophysical surveys (magnetics and IP), diamond drilling of 104 holes totaling 26,446m. 2022: Metals Creek Resources completed 9 diamond drill holes.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurence is described as consisting of a series of parallel, narrow quartz veins and stringers hosted by conglomerate. Isolated stringers and lenses of quartz are observed in rusty eathering, carbonatized greenstone (altered ultramafic flows).

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Channel samples collected by Hollinger GML in 1937 returned values ranging from trace to 0.46 oz/t Au. The best assay from Thomas Ogden drill hole no. 8 returned 0.22 oz/t Au over 5 ft. Individual sampes of core returned up to 9.59 g/t Au within a much wider zone of anomalous gold ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 g/t Au.
