Access Description: Travel south of Timmins on Pine Street for 3 km to the DeSantis road and then west for 2 km to the site. The site lies north east of the road.
1910: discovery by Gray brothers. 1911-16: Hollinger Reserve Mining Company/Porcupine Crown Mines Limited - shaft to 200 ft, winze to 318 ft., diamond drilling. 1920-23: McEnaney Gold Mines, Limited - de-watering of workings; winze deepened, diamond drilling (3500 ft). 1934-39: Sun-Ray Gold Syndicate - property acquisition, sampling. 1936: Hollinger Consolidated Gold MInes Limited - property optioned, 1 ddh. 2000: Echo Bay Mines Ltd. - mapping, sampling. 2003: Porcupine Joint Venture: airborne geophysics.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The vein at the bottom of the winze reportedly carried $1.26 Au per ton in gold across a width of six feet at the 600-ft level, and $0.20 at the 850-ft level. Reports of underground samples collected in 1911 returned assays of $20.0 Au over 3 ft. Grab samples collected from the mine dump in 1934 returned assays ranging from trace to $8.00 Au. The best assay reported by Hollinger in 1936 returned 0.46 oz/t Au.
