Access Description: Travel south from Timmins along Pine Street for approximately 7 km and then follow a series of bush roads to the claim.
1911: John A. Mitchell writes to brother W.S. Mitchell concerning an assay certificate for samples taken from claim TRS1116 showing 0.61 oz. per ton ($12.00 gold). The samples were taken from a 10 ft. deep shaft. Sulphides are noted in the shaft. 1939: Dictore Porcupine Gold Mines Ltd. holds a group of claims including claim TRS1116. A report from that year describes 6 veins/shears and makes reference to the Mitchell shaft being 45ft in depth and waterfilled at time of Dictore visit (AF T-444). 1982: J. St. Gelais: Drilling north of occurrence (T-2351). 1986: L.B.L. Richgold Mines Inc.: Geology survey, grab samples, drilling near lake to east of occ. (T-2981). 2003:, L.B.L. Richgold Mines Inc.: Prospecting, sampling, Beep Mat survey near lake to east of occ. (T-4914).
