Mineralization Comments

Feb 27, 2008 (D Draper) - Quote from H.G. Way report, T-203: The shaft was started on a quartz vein and sheared section, which dipped out of the shaft at 39 feet. It is in mineralized schist and carries values. A few feet above this point, a channel assay...[returned] $10.80 and $11.20 per ton in gold. Several other well defined veins from 4 to 12 feet wide penetrated the shaft, and are filled with quartz and good mineralization. (Gold at $20.67 per ounce for values quoted) Sampling by Apollo in 1947: 5 grab samples from the surface dump near shaft returned from 17.69 to 40.71 opt Au; 3 samples of vein material within shaft returned 0.09, 0.11 and 11.2 opt Au.
