Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - The Clucas booker property is on the north side of the Destor-Porcupine fault and is underlain by Tisdale Assemblage pillowed and massive flow basalts. Adjacent the fault, the basalts are stongly carbonatized. A narrow dike of porphyry from 2 to 12 ft. in width intrudes a rusty-weathering schist. The porphyry strike N80E and dips 80 m. Visible gold has been found at a number of points in the schist near the contact with the porphyry. Numerous stringers of replacement quartz, striking with the schist, occur along the dike, being exposed by a series of pits and trenches. The schist carries finely disseminated iron pyrites and a little galena, and also much ankertie. (AR33 pt.2 p. 81).

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - Carlson (1967) states that (a surface map of this property indicates that the showings were extensively channel-sampled, the best assay yielding 0.28 ounces of gold per ton over a width of 4 ft). This map is not in the assessment files. Placer Dome (CLA) Ltd. 2002 diamond drilling intersected 3.34 g/t Au over 0.3 m in hole 33362. The sample contained quartz-carbonate-suplhide vein cutting flowey greenstone. Hole 33363 intesected several porphyries that yielded up to 0.83 g/t Au over 0.8 m.
