Placer Development drilled DEL-83-1 in February 1983. The drill core was donated to the Regional Core Library. In 1987 Noranda Exploration Company, Limited examined and sampled the drill core. One interval returned an occurrence grade gold assay.

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - DEL-83-1 was drilled on an azimuth of 185 degrees with a -57 degree inclination. The hole collatered through 36.60 m of sand and gravel and into pillowed tholeiitic basalt and basaltic tuffs. Several quartz veins and some quartz breccias were intersected with the basalt. These were mineralized with pyrite, chalcopytie and arsenopyrite.
