Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The host intrusive is historically described as a coarse biotite granite containing a remnant of basic schist. A 2 - 5 ft wide quartz vein is found at the contact between the two. Diamond drill holes completed by Outokumpu to the south and east of the shaft intersected komatiite, gabbro, iron formation and pyroxenite.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Chip samples collected by Hollinger Mines in 1927 returned the following values: $12.60 Au over 6 inches in mineralized quartz; $21.20 Au acoss 2 ft in mineralized quartz. The lowest gold value was $0.20 over 2 ft in stained quartz. Samples collected in 1938 by Erie Canadian Mines returned gold values of $9.20 Au from a grab sample near the shaft, and $14.40 gold from a grab sample taken north of the waste dump.
