Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of interbedded intermediate to felsic flows and chloritic schists. Pyke identified siliceous ironstone in the vicinity. Komatiites were intersected in Utah Mines drill hole R-4. The komatiites are underlain by a sequence of intermediate to felsic tuffs and flows.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by Falconbridge in 1961 the area returned an assay of 0.16% Ni. A value of 23,6000 ppm Ni was returned from overburden drill hole RR-91-08. A sample of pyroxenite bedrock from the same hole returned an assay of 265 ppm Ni. A grab sample collected from the vicinity by D. Pyke in 1969 returned trace Cu, Ni, Au and Ag. The best assay result from diamond drilling conducted by Utah Mines was 0.13% Ni over 6.4 ft.
