Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Grab samples from iron fomration taken in 1927 returned an assay of $1.20 Au and 2.54% Cu. Other grab samples from the same site returned $2.48 Au and 3.81% Cu. Grab samples taken by Dumont in 1961 returned values of: 15.35% Cu, 0.05 oz/t Au, 4.96 oz/t Ag from a chalcopyrite rich zone. The best assay from drill hole 11 returned 1.38 oz/t Au, 0.80 oz/ Ag and 0.17% Cu over 2 ft in iron formation. An average assay calculated over 6 ft was 0.67 oz/t Au ($23.45). The best copper value ran 1.15% Cu, 0.66 oz/t Ag and 0.005 oz/t Au over 0.5 ft in a chalcopyrite rich zone in iron formation. Grab samples taken from the trench area in 1985 returned values up to 0.012 oz/t Au. Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1969 returned 1.93% Cu, 0.30 oz/t Ag and 0.02 oz/t Au.
Date: Mar 11, 2004
Geologist: A Wilson
Notes: The original trench is shown on claim P49102 in a 1961 report that refers to the discovery by R. Allerston. Geological mapping completed in 1985 re-discovered the trench and places it in claim 792482.
