Access Description: The site is accessible by driving south of the Buffalo Ankerite township for a distance of 10 km along a gravle and bush road. The shaft is located 50 m east of a bush road.
1945-87: Balmoral Porcupine Mines Ltd. - Shaft collared. No sinking done; ground geophysics, 16 ddh (5800 m). 1980-81: Amax Minerals Exploration - airborne geophysics, mapping, 1 ddh (194 m).

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of mafic metavolcanics that shows localized shearing. The shearing is described as talc-chlorite schist. Narrow altered dikes/sills of feldspar porphyry intrude the metavolcanics at depth.
