Dec 09, 2015 (A Wilson) - The Quaternary stratigraphy at hole 87-54 is essentially varved clay and silt from surface to bedrock. The glaciolacustrine sediments were deposited in proglacial lakes Barlow and Ojibway. No overburden samples were taken at this hole. The syenite bedrock at hole 87-54 has abundant Sr.
