Jun 22, 2013 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is hosted within a series of mafic metavolcanic pillowed flows and breccia intruded by narrow quartz porphyry dikes which range in width from 6 inches to 2 feet. The felsite dikes are carbonatized and often faulted. Erie Canadian Mines Limited noted that presence of a narrow ultra-basic dyke (lamprophyre?) within the mafic metavolcanics. Numerous quartz stringers occur at all angles in the carbonate rock. Ladder-like quartz stringers occur in the dikes. The quartz stringers are comprised of pure white quartz, columnar growth of quartz and calcite and/or white quartz containing abundant black tourmaline and pyrite.

Jun 22, 2013 (A Wilson) - Sylvanite Gold Mines reported the presence of free gold in narrow north-trending quartz veins and stringers. Sampling of the property has reportedly given very erratic results. Visible gold was confirmed on the property by the OGS during their mapping project in 1967. The best gold assays reported by Dome Exploration were 0.6 dwt/ton (0.933 g/t Au) over 1 foot in DDH 177-11 and 0.6 dwt/ton (0.933 g/t Au) over 3.9 feet in DDH 177-9. Most other assays ranged from 0.10 dwt/ton over1 ft to 0.04 dwt over 5 feet. Moderate gold values were obtained over a strike length of approximately 600 m.
