Apr 18, 2016 (C Salo) - No anomalous mineralization has been reported. Geological mapping indicates that the bedrock in the drilled area consists of weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic grade) supracrustal and felsic intrusive rocks near or within ( the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone. No values greater than 0.02 oz./ton were obtained in this drilling program. The rocks show a great deal of carbonate alteration and silicification, not unlike some of the Ross Mine alteration. In these sections pyrite mineralization is extensive in disseminated form. Quartz-calcite veins up to 4 feet in core-length were intersected and these in places were mineralized with pyrite and galena. Veins of white quartz and epidote, of white quartz with a lavender coloured mineral, believed to be axinite were encountered cutting the diabase and some of the older formations. The axinite ? was found in well-developed crystals, usually forming a central core within a narrow vein of white quartz.
