Access Description: A point 3.90 km north and 0.16 km west of the southeast corner of Michaud Twp.
1946- 1948: D'Aragon Mines Ltd. completed a magnetic survey and Wright-Hargreaves Mines Ltd. diamond drilled three holes 1958- 1959: Wadge Mines Ltd. completed a magnetic survey. 1980: Windjammer Power and Gas Ltd. completed IP electric, magnetic, and geological surveysf 1981: By this time, Windjammer Power and Gas had diamond drilled 9 holes 1985: Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. diamond drilled 2 holes on ground (formerly?) held by Windjammer Power and Gas. 1987: Noranda Exploration Co. and Destiny Resources Ltd. diamond drilled targets on at least two distinct auriferous zones. 2007: Moneta Porcupine Mines Ltd. acquired the property from Newmont Canada. 2008. Daimond drilling by Moneta to the west on the Windjammer South zone.
Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Satterly 1949; Jensen 1985, 1989; Jensen and Langford 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Troop 1989; assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake; Baker et al. 1980; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988), recent geophysical surveys (OGS 1984, assessment files) and exploration drilling (assessment files) indicate that bedrock in southeastern Michaud Township consists mainly of weakly metamorphosed (greenschist facies or lower metamorphic grade except marginal to large felsic intrusive bodies, where narrow contact metamorphic aureoles of amphibolite grade may be developed) volcanic and sedimentary rocks and mafic to felsic intrusive bodies near the northeast striking Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone (PDFZ).

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Diamond drilling by Wright-Hargreaves Mines yielded several anomalously auriferous (averaging from 0.05 to 0.20 ounce of gold per ton) core sections (ranging in length from 0.5 to 20 feet) within clastic and chemical (oxide facies ironstone) sediments. Diamond drilling by Windjammer Power and Gas, Noranda Exploration Co., and Destiny Resources in the same area also yielded significant gold mineralization (i.e. a diamond drill core length of 31.2 feet averaging 0.272 ounce of gold per ton) within conglomerate marginal to an oxide facies ironstone horizon.
