Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - A pyritic and graphitic dacite breccia containing 1-2% of sulfide minerals was intersected by diamond drilling in the northwest quarter of the south half of lot 1, concession III, Warden Township. Assays of 0.09 ounce per ton of silver, 300 ppm of zinc, and traces of gold are reported (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake). The drilling target is hosted by volcanic and interflow sedimentary rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group and it is spatially associated with the interpreted trace of the north branch of the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone (Johnstone 1986, Johnstone and Baker 1986, Johnstone and Steele 1989, Jensen and Langford 1985).
