Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Leahy and Ginn 1962; Johnstone 1986; Jensen and Baker 1986; Gupta and Johnstone 1987; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates the area to be underlain by largely glacial drift covered weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic grade) volcanic rock of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Leahy and Ginn (1962) reported that: 'A grab sample taken from pitted quartz veins with pyrite in lot 4, concession I contained 0.01 ounce gold per ton.' (marginal notes).
