1951: Dominion Gulf Co. completed a magnetic survey on claims owned by F.W. Shumacher (Satterly 1953). 1951- 1952: Dominion Gulf Co. and Asbestos Corp. Ltd. completed a joint diamond drilling program.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Satterly 1953; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Gupta and Johnstone 1987; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates that sparsely exposed bedrock in the area consists mainly of weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic grade) mafic to ultramafic volcanic and/or intrusive rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Hewitt and Satterly (1953) noted that: ...some good lengths of fibre-bearing peridotite were cut [in the diamond drilling]... (p.13) Information in the assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake, indicates that the fibre content of sampled material never exceeded 1%.
