Access Description: Point Located: A point 4.28 km south and 1.66 km east of the northwest corner of McCool Township.
1960- 1963: By 1960, Young-Davidson Mines Ltd. held 2 separate claim groups totalling 23 claims in west central McCool Township (The Northern Miner, October 20, 1960). Electromagnetic and magnetic surveys were completed and 7 holes totalling 7,081 feet were diamond drilled, most of which yielded intersections containing asbestos (The Northern Miner, July 30, 1961). Mill testing of core samples is reported (The Northern Miner, July 6, 1961) to have indicated 'interesting amounts' of short fibre asbestos.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Satterly 1953; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone 1987, 1986; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates that the Young-Davidson Mines exploration was targeted mainly on sparsely exposed weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) mafic to ultramafic rocks of the Munro Lake Sill within the north limb of the southeast striking and northwest plunging McCool Hill Syncline. The Munro Lake Sill is known at different places along its 12 km strike length as the Munro-Warden Complex (in northern Munro Township), the McCool Hill Complex (in central McCool Township), and the Centre Hill Complex (in central Munro Township) and may be traced discontinuously in outcrop and continuously via magnetic surveys (OGS 1984) around the nose of the McCool Hill Syncline in central McCool Township. The Munro Lake Sill is a mafic to ultramafic layered intrusion hosted by (metamorphosed) volcanic and volumetrically minor interflow sedimentary rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group and has been described by MacRae (1969) and Johnstone (1987).
