Access Description: Point Located: A point 2.74 km south and 2.90 km west of the northeast corner of Michaud Township.
1946: Clodan Gold Mines Ltd. completed a magnetic survey. 1984: Falconbridge Ltd. completed IP electric and magnetic surveys. 1986: A.W. Hennessey completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. Golden Range Resources Inc. completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. 1988: Falconbridge Ltd. diamond drilled 7 holes totalling 1,378.4 metres. 2003: Royal Victoria Minerals Ltd. diamond drilled 1 hole 236 m hole to the southwest. The best assay was 1.142 g/t Au over 1.0 m in an altered mafic volcanic.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Satterly 1949; Jensen 1989, 1985; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Troop 1989; Baker et al. 1980; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates that the area is underlain mainly by sparsely exposed weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies, except marginal to large felsic intrusive bodies, where amphibolite facies contact metamorphic aureoles may be developed) volcanic rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group which strike east northeast, dip steeply, and face north. Intrusive rocks in the area include large and irregularly shaped felsic bodies. The occurrence is closely associated with and/or is within the Munro Fault Zone, which is also known as the Middle Branch of the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone (Jensen and Langford 1985, Johnstone 1987).

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Near the interpreted location of the Munro Fault Zone, a 1 foot long diamond drill core section of carbonate containing 10% of mudstone lenses and 1-2% of seam controlled and disseminated pyrite is reported (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake) to assay 1,000 ppb of gold.
