Access Description: A point 3.38 km east of the northwest corner of Guibord Twp.
1909: A. Eby staked claims 12302 and 12303 (the east half of the north half of lot 9, concession VI, Guibord Township) (Prest 1953). 1912: The claims were patented by A. Eby (Prest 1953). Pre- 1945: Prospecting and pitting were completed (Prest 1953). 1945: S.J. Bird held an option on claim 12303 and diamond drilled 12 holes totalling 3,700 feet (Prest 1953). 1976- 1979: F. Blake completed VLF electromagnetic and magnetic surveys and diamond drilled 2 holes totalling 1,126 feet (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake).

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Variably glacial drift covered (Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) carbonatized weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) (Archean) Porcupine Group sediments immediately south of their southeast striking contact with overlying (weakly metamorphosed) volcanic rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group are reported (Prest 1953; Jensen 1985, 1989; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Troop 1989; assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake) to be intruded by a southeast striking 20-30 foot wide porphyry dike.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - The dike is reported to be pyritic, variably carbonatized and sericitized, and to be locally host to quartz stringers of unspecified width or geometry. A pyritic porphyry grab sample from a pit averaged 0.03 ounce of gold per ton (Prest 1953). Drilling by S.J. Bird is indicated (assessment files) to have yielded several intersections which were anomalously auriferous (gold tenors ranged from 0.03 to 2.65 ounce of gold per ton across core lengths of 3 to 5 feet).
Sep 07, 2022 (Therese Pettigrew) - DDH 2 drilled in 1979 is reported to have returned Au, Ag, Pb, and Zn from a depth of 292.4-293.7 m, with coarse sphalerite with galena and pyrite in carbonate veins contained in argillaceous sediments (Assessment report 42A09SE0243).
Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - The dike is reported to be pyritic, variably carbonatized and sericitized.
