Access Description: Point Located: A point 1.26 km south and 4.25 km west of the northeast corner of Guibord Township.
1948: A. Hansen and J. McDonnell diamond drilled 6 holes totalling 1,453 feet. Only one of these holes reached bedrock. 1964: Canadian Johns-Manville Co. Ltd. completed geological, magnetic, and electromagnetic surveys. 1977: Cominco Ltd. completed geological and geochemical surveys.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Prest 1953; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Troop 1989; Baker et al. 1980; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates that the area is underlain mainly by sparsely exposed weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) turbiditic sediments of the (Archean) Porcupine Group which strike southeast and dip steeply. Intrusive rocks in the area include north striking diabase dikes of the (Proterozoic) Matachewan swarm (Heaman 1989). The occurrence area is spatially associated with the Munro Fault Zone, referred to by Jensen and Langford (1985) and Johnstone (1987) as the Middle Branch of the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - The best reported gold assay which was intersected by diamond drilling is 0.02 ounce of gold per ton over a core length of 3 feet. This auriferous material was described as: Sediments, mainly greywacke varying from fine to medium grain (sic). Odd seams of quartz. Blue quartz- stringers paralleling core. Sericite.
