Access Description: Stripped area is approximately 225 m south of the point where Hwy 101 crosses the Guibord-Munro Twp line in eastern Guibord Twp.
1964: Canadian Johns-Manville Co. Ltd. completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. 1965: Canadian Johns-Manville Co. diamond drilled 11 holes totalling 5,015.5 feet. 1985: Labrador Mining and Exploration Ltd. completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. 1997: R. Salo completed stripping and sampling. One sample assayed 17.9 g/t gold.

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Geological mapping (Prest 1953; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Johnstone 1987; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Troop 1989; Baker et al. 1980; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates that bedrock in the area is largely glacial drift covered and consists mainly of weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic grade) volcanic rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group. Bedrock stratigraphy is southeast striking, steeply dipping, and northeast facing. The occurrence is near the interpreted position of the northwest striking Munro Fault Zone (also known as the Middle Branch of the Porcupine-Destor Fault Zone (Jensen and Langford 1985)).

Dec 07, 2005 (C Salo) - Anomalously elevated gold tenors are reported (assessment files, Resident Geologist's Office, Kirkland Lake) to be associated with finely disseminated pyrite that is confined to narrow shears of unspecified geometry. The best reported gold assay is from a 3 foot core section of silicified and carbonatized schist containing 1-5% pyrite hosted by fine grained to aphanitic locally brecciated and locally spherulitic volcanic rock. The 3 foot auriferous section averaged 0.01 ounce of gold per ton.
