1950: Quebec Asbestos Corp. completed a magnetic survey. 1952: Quebec Asbestos diamond drilled 2 holes totalling 1,218 feet. 1962: Canadian Johns-Manville Co. Ltd. completed a geophysical survey over claims formerly held by Quebec Asbestos Corp. (Hewitt and Satterly 1953). 2011: D. LaForest and D.J. Lalonde carried out line-cutting and a ground geophysical survey (magnetometer).

Aug 20, 2020 (A Mitchell) - Geological mapping (Satterly 1953; Johnstone and Trowell 1985; Jensen and Baker 1986; Gupta and Johnstone 1987; Johnstone and Steele 1989; Vagners 1984; McClenaghan et al. 1988, 1987; Steele 1988) indicates that sparsely exposed outcrop in the area consists mainly of weakly metamorphosed (greenschist or lower metamorphic facies) mafic to ultramafic volcanic and/or intrusive rocks of the (Archean) Stoughton-Roquemaure Group.

Aug 20, 2020 (A Mitchell) - Satterly (1953) reported that in one diamond drill hole which intersected peridotite: '...a few veinlets of chrysotile asbestos were found.' (p. 27).
