Exploration History

1954: Consolidated Ranwick Uranium completed airborne geophysical surveys. 1965: Union Carbide completed ground mag and EM surveys. 1985: G.J. Mullan completed airborne mag and EM surveys to confirm the OGS anomaly in the area. 1989: Tundra Gold Mines completed ground mag and VLF-EM surveys and geologically mapped the area. No outcrops were found in the vicinity of the INPUT anomaly. 1991: G.J. Mullan completed a Max-Min survey and power stripped some outcrops near a VLF-EM anomaly. 1994: Ste-Lucie Explorations diamond drilled one hole totalling 1000 feet to test the INPUT cluster. Anomaly not explained. Anomalous levels of Ni encountered. A petrographic analysis of selected sections of core was completed. 1996: WMC International completed a 15-hole reverse-circulation drill program. 1997: G.J. Mullan completed an IP survey over the central portion of the property. 1998: Panterra Minerals Inc. completed a 4-hole 2698-foot diamond drill program.

Lithology Comments

Jan 25, 2016 (D Guidon) - Property is underlain by pillowed and amygdaloidal basalt flows, gabbro, spinifex textured ultramafic flows and ultramafic intrusives that strike southeast. A basaltic fragmental unit contains pea-sized fragments within a dark aphanitic groundmass. It is considered to be similar to the host rocks at the Potter Mine to the northwest.
