Feb 11, 2016 (A Wilson) - The Quaternary stratigraphy of hole 87-08 is glaciolacustrine sediments overlying ice marginal glaciofluvial sand and gravel, which in turn overlies subglacial till on bedrock. The clay, silt and sand to the depth of 25.3 m were deposited in proglacial lakes Barlowand Ojibway. Sand in the interval 28.7-29.1 m was deposited into subglacially ponded meltwater. All Quaternary sediments at this hole are part of a single glacial package. Ice associated with this package advance toward 170º azimuth.

Feb 11, 2016 (A Wilson) - The till sample from the base of this hole has an "H" fraction Au value of 1200 ppb. Five abraded gold grains, including three grains larger than 100 x 150 microns, were recovered from the heavy mineral concentrate of this sample. Titanium values returned 45800 ppm and chromium values returned 700 ppm. Five abraded gold grains were collected from this OVDH.
