Jan 19, 2016 (A Wilson) - The generalized Quaternary stratigraphy of this relatively shallow hole is varved clay, overlying a complex sequence of till, gritty sand, and laminated clay and silt. The varved clays were deposited in proglacial lakes Barlow and Ojibway. The underlying materials were deposited near the ice margin, in an environment with abundant flowing and ponded meltwater. The till may have been deposited by either the melt-out or debris flow processes.
