Feb 12, 2016 (A Wilson) - The large exposed area in the east consists for the most part of Fe-rich tholeitic basalt, with minor Mg-rich tholeitic basalt. These basalts form a series of north-facing, ESE to SE trending, massive and pillowed flows. Local exposure displays textures ranging from aphanitic to variolitic, vesicular, hyaloclastic and gabbroic. Some exposure shows well-formed pillows, pillow breccias and flow-top breccias; indications are that these rocks dip strongly to the north and south, trend east-west, and that the stratigraphic top is to the north. Volcanic rocks of the area are intruded by several thin felsic to intermediate felsic porphyry dykes. Mafic, lamprophyric and phenocryst-bearing dykes are also noted in the vicinity. A thick southeast trending peridotite sill about sixty meters wide is projected to cross the middle of the property. This unit is tentatively believed to be the locus of the Pipestone Fault Zone. The Maude Lake gold deposit, one kilometer to the northwest, is spatially and probably genetically related to this structure. The small grouping of outcrop in the southwest of the property shows tholeiitic basalts with minor calc-alkaline basalts. These are cut by a large Late Pre-Cambrian ENE trending diabase dyke. This dyke is subvertical and 150 to 250 meters thick. It follows the south portion of the property and is projected to emerge through the eastern limit of the property. The Porcupine Group sediments outcrop a few tens of meters across from this dyke to the southwest of the property. The contact between volcanics and sediments is not exposed, but it is the locus of the Contact Fault 5 kilometers along strike to the southeast which is projected to pass near the southwest of the Hewitt Property. The Munro Fault Zone (also known as "Painkiller Lake Fault") also passes within a few hundred meters of the property. It trends northwest to southeast along the northeast corner of the Hewitt Property.

Feb 12, 2016 (A Wilson) - Doug Lalonde’s work led to the discovery of a thin gold-bearing quartz vein (the Hewitt Vein) striking to the southwest from the old Lucky Ben Property. Following this, Maude Lake Gold Mines Ltd. drilled four diamond drill holes testing this mineralization at depth. The best result was 0.04 oz./ton Au over l foot (30 cm).
