Lithology Comments

Apr 21, 2016 (A Wilson) - The Quaternary stratigraphy of hole 87-21 represents three glacial advance/withdrawal sequences. The three glacial packages, from oldest to most recent, are: 1) the "lowest" package, the direction of ice advance associated with this package has not been determined; 2) the "middle" package, regional striae and pebble fabric data indicate this package is correlated with a 2400 azimuth ice advance; and 3) the Matheson package, sediments of this package are associated with ice which advanced toward 1700 azimuth. The Quaternary stratigraphy at holes 100 m east(88-52) and 100 m south (88-51) also contains the three glacial packages with glaciolacustrine sediments at the top of each package. Holes drilled 100 m west (88-49) and north (88-50) were much shallower than hole 87-21 and encountered only the two uppermost glacial packages.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 21, 2016 (A Wilson) - Gold values from the H fraction returned best values of 1100 ppb Au in Sample 2104; 2400 ppb Au in Sample 2110 and 3600 ppb Au in Sample 2115. Gold grain data for sample 2115 returned 6 abraded gold grains with measurements ranging from 50 x 100 microns to 200 x 275 microns. Gold grain data for sample 2110 returned 3 abraded gold grains with measurements ranging from 25 X 25 microns (2 samples) to 200 x 300 microns. Gold grain data for sample 2104 ranged from 75 x 100 microns to 100 x 300 microns.
