Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - Questmont hole 74-9 was drilled vertically to a depth of 193 ft. The hole penetrated bedrock logged as sheared graphitic tuff (Andesite), with 10 percent pyrite and quartz carbonate veins at 173 ft. and continued in this rocktype to the end of the hole at 193 ft. This unit is anomalous in gold.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - Analysis of the graphitic tuff returned values from 70 ppb Au to 1295 ppb Au. The material for the latter sample is described as (Fines A) from the interval 173 - 183 ft. The (Fines B) fraction returned 465 ppb Au while the coarse retruned 50 ppb Au.

Jan 12, 2023 (Q Unknown) - Diamond drilling by Questmont Mines Ltd. in 1974 resulted in DDH 74-9 intersecting anomalous gold values contained within what the drill log describes as Sheared graphitic tuff (Andesite), 10% pyrite, quartz-carbonate veins. The 183-193 foot interval contained a weighted average grade of 290 ppb Au along a core length of 10 feet (3.0 metres). The drill hole came out of the overburden into this unit, and the hole EOH was also in this unit.
