Exploration History

1965 - Jelex Mines, ground geophysical surveys on claims to E of drillhole location. (T-1238) 1982 St. Joe Canada Ltd. drilled AL82-01 in the SE corner of Claim 452498 just north of the Evelyn Tp., Matheson Tp. boundary. The hole followed up overburden drilling results and ground geophysical surveys including gradiometer, and HLEM (T-2510). 2004 - Porcupine Joint Venture, one drillhole on claim E of occurrence location (T-5095).

Geology Comments

Jan 14, 2019 (G Seim) - AL82-01 was drilled due south at - 50 degrees. The hole collared through 53.6 m. of overburden before intersecting a sequence intermediate to mafic volcanic rock. Carbonate alteration, accompanying narrow quartz-carbonate-polymetallic sulphide veins increases downhole. The final 11 m of the hole is logged as chlorite schist. with varying concentrations of carbonate and pyrite. The hole ended at 221.9 m.

Jan 14, 2019 (G Seim) - A grab sample containing up to 25% sulphides taken a 220 m returned 785 ppb Au, 5.3 ppm Ag, 94 ppm Cu, 20 ppm Zn and 261 ppm Pb (T-2510).
