Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - CAF-1-71 tested a Turam anomaly. The hole, drilled at -55 degrees on Az. 075 degrees, encountered 210 ft. of overburden and collared in a mafic metavolcanic rock. At 317 ft. the hole a graphitic zone, described as intensive sheared was intersected. The hole was lost a 324 ft. CAF-2-71 was drilled on the same section 375 ft. to the east. The hole tested the same anomaly and was drilled a -65 degrees on Az. 225. The hole encounter 115 ft. of overburden and collared in - chicken tract structure - rock that is probably a spinifex textured komatiite. This rock continued to 185.2 ft. where a fawn coloured carbonaceous rock was intersected to 197.9 ft. More chicken track rock followed to 212.1 ft. followed by 3. ft of fawn coloured rock. Andesite was logged to 253.3 ft. followed by more fawn coloured rock to 253.3 ft. From 253.3 ft. to 356.4 ft. the rock is described as carbonatized dacite with sericite alteration. Rhyolite was logged from 356.1 to 401 ft. This was followed by a green carbonate rock to 848 ft. which was the end of the hole.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - A geochemical sample of graphitic rock ( at 324 ft. ) in CAF-1-71 returned 2750 ppm Cu, 750 ppm Zn, 346 ppm Ni and 1.2 ppm Ag. Geochemical samples of grey green carbonate-bearing rock in CAF-2-71 returned up to 1140 ppm Ni.
