Exploration History

1971- Hollinger Mines Ltd. drilled several diamond drill holes in Wark Tp. on ground optioned from Victoria Algoma Mineral Company Ltd. VA6-1-71 was drilled on block 6 at -50 degrees, Az. 225 degrees.

Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - VA6-1-71 encountered overburden to 76.8 ft., and interbedded arkose, greywacke, and slate to a depth of 690.5 ft. and serpentinized mafic to ultramafic rock to the end of the hole at 785 ft. Sphalerite mineralization was noted in a rock described as greywacke cut be quartz carbonate veins. Pyrite and pyrrhotite are also noted in the drill log.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - A 1 ft. interval returned an assay of 5040 ppm Zn over 1 ft. (485 ft. - 486 ft.) within a 19.3 ft. (475.7 ft. - 495.0 ft.) interval of quartz-carbonate vein altered greywacke that averaged 405 ppm Cu and 2206 ppm Zn.
