Mar 05, 2014 (A Wilson) - Gold has been found in very coarse and spectacular form at several places in the quartz veins and the best values were obtained along a shear. Davidson-Tisdale Mines delineated 3 separate quartz-sericite-carbonate alteration zones, 2 of which are auriferous. Diamond drilling by Davidson-Tisdale in 1985 returned values up to 0.99 oz/t Au over 1 m. Drilling on the middle zone in 1986 yielded assays up to 2.9 oz/t Au over 3.3 ft; the upper zone yielded core assays to 0.18 oz/t Au over 3.3 ft. The middle zone lies 30-40 m below the historic upper zone and has yielded assays up to 2.9 oz/t Au over 3.3 ft. The lower zone has yet to yield economic assays.
