Dec 07, 2005 (R Pressacco) - Veins are hosted by a band of mafic volcanic rocks that are (isoclinally) infolded with sedimentary rocks of the Porcupine Assemblage. To the west, this band merges with the mafic volcanic package that hosts the Bell Creek mine. To the east, additional veins / zones are hosted by this band of mafics including the Vogel JV. (Blackhawk Option), the Kinross-Thunderwood JV, and the Owl Creek mine.

Nov 04, 2011 (A Wilson) - The generalized geology includes, from south to north, a series of ankerite altered basaltic komatiites, mafic metavolcanics consisting of grey/green massive and pillowed flows; and metsediments consisting of greywacke, argillite and graphitic argillites. Quartz-carbonate and quartz/tourmaline veins are hosted by a series of light grey, hydothermally, ankerite-altered mafic metavolcanics along the north contact of the Vogel volcanic belt with ultramafic metavolcanics.
Dec 07, 2005 (R Pressacco) - Little detailed geological information is available. Please refer to Pressacco (1999) for descriptions of nearby deposits.
