Geology Comments

Jul 22, 2008 (A Wilson) - The prospect lies within the mafic metavolcanic rocks of the Kamiskotia Volcanic Complex and adjacent to the Steep Lake granophyre The Steep Lake granophyre is considered part of the Kamiskotia Gabbroic Complex. The Kamiskotia Volcanic Complex overlies and is intruded by the Kamiskotia Gabbroic Complex. The KVC has been dated at 2701± 1.4 to 2698± 1.3 Ma.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 03, 2012 (D Draper) - Additional channel and grab samples from trenches on claim 27830 returned from 1.10% to 2.28% Cu. (T-330) Drilling by Consolidated Brewis was located in the east half of the claim, with holes 5, 8, 12 and 13 being in the NE quarter. Assay results for these included: Hole 5 - 22 ft averaging 0.7% Cu, including 2.6ft of 4.1% Cu; 0.75% Zn over 5ft; 5.5 opt Ag over 5ft; 0.02 opt Au over 7ft (note: assay units not shown on logs; ounce per ton assumed) Hole 8 - 34 ft averaging 0.5% Cu; 2.2 opt Ag over 5ft Hole 12 - 35 ft averaging 0.89% Cu, including 2.62% over 5ft Hole 13 - 0.85% Cu over 5ft Holes 4, 6 and 10 were collared 200 to 300m to the south and returned up to 0.37% Cu over 50ft. Hole 14, collared between the 2 groups, assayed up to 3.44% Cu, 2.5 opt Ag, 0.05 opt Au (5ft sample lengths). (T-746; see also Timmins DCL holes TI0980 to TI0984) Mespi hole M-70-3 was collared 165m NNE of Consolidated Brewis Hole 12 and returned up to 0.33% Cu and 2.84% Zn from felsic metavolcanics mineralized with sph and cpy. (T-1190) Texasgulf hole G-51-5, located in the SE quarter of the occurrence claim, assayed up to 2.1% Cu and intersected a 10 ft zone averaging 1.5% Zn. (T-1867)

Jan 03, 2012 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1949 returned assays up to 1.66% Cu from a trench on claim P27830. A second grab sample collected by the OGS returned assays of 0.01 oz/t Au and 1.02% Cu. Sulphide mineralization is exposed over a length of 250 m along the contact between granophyre and mafic pillowed volcanics. The sulphides form stringers ranging from 1-3 feet and may also form lenticular pods.
