Geology Comments

Jul 24, 2008 (A Wilson) - The occurrence lies within the felsic metavolcanic rocks of the Kamiskotia Volcanic Complex. The Kamiskotia Volcanic Complex overlies and is intruded by the Kamiskotia Gabbroic Complex. The KVC has been dated at 2701± 1.4 to 2698± 1.3 Ma.

Lithology Comments

Apr 26, 2019 (A Wilson) - The showing consists of pyritic quartz veins. The veins range up to 800 feet in length and are controlled by a prominent joint fracture system that strikes N20°W and dips 75°W. Numerous smaller veins branch off and parallel to the main vein. A 20 foot wide shear zone contains stringers of sphalerite, chalcopyrite and pyrite. The veins are hosted within massive to foliated rhyolite. The felsic volcanic rocks are part of the Ski-hill rhyolite that lies on the north side of Mount Jamieson.
