Access Description: Access to the site is by way of Highway 101, west from Timmins city centre for approximately 13 km. Drive WNW from highway 101 along the Mallette main haul road for approximately 41 km to the site.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The outcrop is described as a coarse-grained gabbro cut occasionally by small dikes of granite. The anomalous Cu and Ni values reportedly occur in pyroxenite.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 17, 2009 (D Draper) - Drillholes #2 and #3 by Hollinger were co-collared on G. Sweet's No. 2 (or eastern) showing. Hole 2 returned assays of 0.25% Cu and 0.15% Ni over 2 ft and Hole 3 returned 0.20% Cu and 0.09% Ni over 3 ft. Grab sample of a pyrrhotite lens at surface reportedly returned an assay of 0.47% Ni. (AR Vol 40-3, p. 37) A sample taken in 2006 from a trench in the vicinity of DH 2 returned 4652ppm Cu, 3318ppm Ni and 853ppm Co. (OFR 6203, p. 61)


Apr 17, 2009 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling by G. Sweet in 1930 returned assays of 0.25% Cu and 0.15% Ni over 3 ft and 0.20% Cu and 0.09% Ni over 3 ft. Grab samples reportedly returned assays up to 0.47% Ni.
