Lithology Comments

Aug 13, 2007 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is hosted within a xenolith of komatiite or peridotite hosted within the Kenogamissi batholith. The enclaves of komatiitic metavolcanics show amphibolite metamorphic effects.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 08, 2014 (D Draper) - Sulphides are intimately associated with crosscutting fractures and quartz-carbonate micro-veins. Samples from Hollinger drillhole F-21 that were re-analyzed by Falconbridge assayed up to 3.9% Cu over 28.5 m. Hollinger hole F-1-50-71, collared approximately 275m north of the main zone in patent P55174, returned 4230 ppm and 5490 ppm Cu in quartz-diorite. The McArthur Minerals - Moneta Porcupine J.V. drilled 12 holes on the occurrence, 8 of which intersected the Main Zone. The average grade over these holes was 4.39% Cu and 10.6 g/t Ag. Hole MAC-96-3 intersected a 7.35m zone assaying up to 7.87% Cu and included a 0.8m section assaying 19.76% Cu and 37.8 g/t Ag. Other significant assays obtained were from holes MAC-97-11 and MAC-97-15, both collared within 20m of MAC-96-3. MAC-97-11 intersected a 2.95m section of the sulphide zone mineralized with pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite which assayed up to 17.53% Cu, 40.8 ppm Ag, 2.18% Zn, 1.5% Pb and 370 ppm Co. A 1.3m sample from MAC-97-15 returned 356 ppb Au and 0.0598% Mo.

Alteration Comments

Sep 08, 2014 (D Draper) - Alteration on the property is restricted to retrograde effects and greenschist to amphibolite facies metamorphism.
