Jul 06, 2006 (D Draper) - Although there is an absence of outcrop in the vicinity of the occurrence, drilling indicates the area is underlain by pillowed, amygdaloidal mafic to intermediate volcanics, graphitic argillite, gabbro and ultramafic intrusive rocks [T-5336]

Jul 06, 2006 (D Draper) - Temco drillhole 75-2 -- drilled to 500ft, bearing south, dipping -45 deg. -- intersected black to green, coarse-grained gabbro from 126 to 378ft downhole. Samples taken at 200ft and 350ft from zones mineralized with fine-grained pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite returned, respectively, 0.1419% Ni and 0.1268% Ni, 0.438% Cu over 5 feet. Pyke and Londry hole NES-00-01 was drilled 600 feet south and slightly west of hole 75-2, bearing 360deg az, dipping -50deg, to depth of 176m. The geophysical conductor being tested was found to be due to a zone (95.5m to 110.2m) of gabbro matrixed graphite breccia, mineralized with pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite. While this conductive zone did return anomalous Zn, Cu, Ni and Au assays, all were sub-occurrance grade. However, the sulphide-bearing pyroxenite (medium-grained, highly altered, olivine-bearing) encountered lower in the hole (125.4m to 165.9m) returned consistantly high Ni values. Ten, 1.2m wide, samples taken over the interval 131.2m to 143.2m returned from 724 to 1210 ppm Ni, with half the samples being over 1000 ppm. (T-4337)
