Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is hosted within a thick sequence of felsic tuffs and lapilli tuffs with a few thin intercalated leucoxene-bearing mafic flows or sills. Narrow fine-grained syenitic dikes intrude the felsic volcanic package. Mineralization is found within a series of quartz veins and veinlets that cross-cut a zone of chert, pyrite and some graphite that is found within the felsic metavolcanics. This zone has been interpreted as chemical metasediments. The rocks are strongly foliated and closely spaced fractures are observed in the chert and quartz veins.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 21, 2013 (A Wilson) - Inco drill hole 27063 returned an intersection of 0.14 oz/t Au over 9.2 ft. Gold ad silver enrichment is confined to sulphide and/or chert-bearing rocks throughout the volcanic sequence. Tuffs in the sequence carry variable gold values ranging from 0.005 to 0.02 oz/t Au, while distinct enrichments are confined to the pyrite-chert chemical sediments. Sections of core from the Main Zone which comprise chert and pyrite with no quartz veins, mostly assay in the range of about 0.01 to 0.08 oz/t Au. Gold is closely associated with pyrite in both the chert-sulphide portions and in the quartz vien stockworks. Inco drill hole 27069A returned an assay of 0.027 oz/t Au over 10 ft. Diamond drilling by Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. and Ring of Fire Resources Inc. returned 3.16 g/t Au over 5 m Including 11.0 g/t Au over 1 m in LUC 12-03; 0.486 g/t Au over 5 m, including 1.40 g/t Au over 1 m in LUC 12-05; and 0.764 g/t Au over 9 m , including 1.87 g/t Au over 2 m in LUC 12-06.

Notes: Drilling by Abitibi-Price outlined a thin tablular mineralized zone 500 ft wide, 750 feet long and 1 to 24 ft thick, averaging 5 ft in thickness and plunging 65 SW. The drill indicated tonnages were estimated to be 150,000 tons grading 0.12 oz/t Au to a depth of 900 feet. The Main Zone consists of varying amounts of black chert, massive to disseminated pyrite and white to smokey vein quartz. The hanging wall tuffs become very pyritic nearthe Main Zone upper contact and grade imperceptibly into a chert-dominated rock with some lenses of sulphidic tuff. Downward, the vein quartz content increases, with veinlets of quartz-pyrite giving way to larger cross-cutting quartz veins and finally near the footwall contact, to a thick (13 ft average) conformable quartz vein. The lowere contact in most sections is defined by the Footwall fault zone below which occurs a thick sequence of carbonate-sericite felsic tuffs.
